NEW! Our new Java Trees offer a fun, exciting and natural playstand for all exotic pet birds! They're natural, durable, and tough. Unlike other trees, Java Trees grow horizontal branches with winding bends creating a stimulating playstand for your birds. In addition, irregularly shaped limbs stimulate the muscles in your birds feet to help prevent foot sores and cramping. Java Trees offer an excellent source of entertainment and exercise for all pet birds, while providing a splendid piece of art to display your exotic birds natural beauty. To bring these tropical hardwood trees into your living room, we put each tree through a rigorous process. It takes about 30 years for nature to create these stunningly beautiful Java Trees. After producing coffee for that time, these trees become nonproductive and dormant. The dormant tree is removed from the ground and replaced with a new tree. At this point, we hand pick from the removed trees choosing only those that meet our stringent requirements. We then painstakingly debark, hand sand, and kiln dry each tree for 30 days. The drying process helps minimize splitting which often occurs in other trees used as playstands. Each tray includes hand carved designs around its perimeter. Our Java Trees are so unique, each demands a custom built tray of its own. Our craftsmen then hand carve artistic designs into every tray. We seal the tray with a non-toxic water proof finish, add casters for mobility, and the Java Tree is complete!
